Siblingship DNA Study

From: ₱14,750

Are you my brother? Are you my sister? Do we share one parent or both (half or full sibiling)? Accuracy is assured because:

  • We insist on split-sample 2x testing. Each person's DNA is examined TWICE and each examination conducted by a different team.
  • These are genuine siblingship studies not simple ancestry tests.
Please see our rip-off warnings below.

Ordering is simple. NO CREDIT CARD NEEDED. You need only specify:

  • Number of siblings being tested (usually 2). The price for testing additional siblings includes additional testing kits.
  • Which parents are included (no extra charge).
  • The intended use of test i.e. Informational, Chain-of-Custody, Legal, or Immigration.
  • You may deselect the STR panel if your budget is tight.

Product Description

Are you my brother? Are you my sister? Do we share one parent or both (half or full sibiling)? Our Siblingship Study will help you know. Accuracy is assured because:

  • We insist on split-sample 2x testing. Each person's DNA is examined TWICE and each examination conducted by a different team.
  • These are genuie siblingship tests not simple ancestry tests.

Conclusiveness is enhanced through the use of high loci examinations and the inclusion of the biological parents. We do not permit labs to charge extra for including the parents and require them to offer STR analysis of hundreds of thousands of genetic locations for a small additional charge. We highly recommend you avail of these options if at all possible.

DON'T GET RIPPED-OFF

Some labs attempt to pass-off ancestral tests such as simple X and Y chromosome tests or even mitochondrial DNA testing as siblingship tests. Unfortunately, those tests only indicate relatedness. If you find yourself in court you can bet that opposing council will be quick to point out that your grandfather, uncles, father and brothers will all test positive as they all have the same Y chromosome. Similarly, your grandmother, aunts, mother and sister all share X chromosomes and mtDNA. To avoid confusion we place those tests on our ancestral tests menu.

MORE RIP-OFFS

Do not pay extra to test parental DNA. It is unnecessary for modern labs to charge extra to test the parents' DNA because those costs are more than offset by the lower cost of analyzing the results when this DNA is available. Testing without parental DNA is less accurate and should only be performed if the parents are deceased or in-hiding.
